Open up any fashion magazine this week and you will find a Model Off The Clock. Placed between the fashion advertorials of models canvassed by designers, you will find pages dedicated to the scrutiny of photographs that capture models off duty. Primarily known for the way in which they wear designer clothes, recent fashion trends are turning our perception of models towards the looks they choose to wear when they are off the runway. Ergo today’s story, in which we feature one of fashion’s most favorite runway darlings and revel in her distinctive selections for the perfect Fall/Winter looks at TNT. In this first issue of TNT Model Off The Clock, we catch up with Spanish model Marina Jamieson, focus in on her personal styling, and point you in the direction to achieve the same looks at TNT.

Before we go into detail about Jamieson’s clothing selections, here’s the 411 for those of you not familiar with this beauty’s illustrious career. Having been featured on the pages of Italian Vogue, Vanity Fair, andWMagazine (to name a few), Jamieson has become a major player in the modeling world for her talent to transform from sweet to sultry, innocent to edgy, in a flash. Now a ten-year fashion veteran, she continues to land major advertising campaigns (previously, she’s been the face of L’Oreal, Revlon, Roberto Cavalli, and Top Shop) and continues to command the runways (during New York’s Fashion Week, she opened and closed for Diane von Furstenberg, and has walked for industry icons, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, and Gucci), making a name for herself in every destination that she lands. Hence our excitement when we found out that she had chosen TNT to be the last stop on her Toronto tour.

Having come to us six months ago from New York, Marina Jamieson has been the Fall/Winter 2010-2011 must have accessory to Canadian fashion. Having been featured in the latest issues of Flare (twice!),Elle,and Fashion, and campaigns for Artitzia’s Talula Babaton, Simone’sIcône, and Erin Kleinberg, Marina has left an impression on our industry that has native models bending to fit her mold. However, if you were to ask her yourself she would tell you I was backwards. According to Marina, it was Canada (in particular, Toronto) that had left the impression on her. In fact, she revealed to us that the latest issue of her magazine, Moose,will focus specifically on Toronto and the best it has to offer in fashion, art, and entertainment.

“Moose is an online magazine that promotes the work of artists “off duty” actually,” she told us excitedly sorting through the racks. “Our secret is choosing people with artistic minds: stylists, photographers, models, actors, writers, and painters,” to name a few, “and providing a canvass for them to express their art without any strings attached,” she added. Of course, this was our inspiration for our shoot with Jamieson, to allow her to express her personal style without any restrictions on “model behavior.” In fact, she was so inclined towards our concept that this supermodel chose to go bare, bare of hair and make-up that is. The only thing we did ask of this beautiful blank canvas was that she use TNT to paint her picture and tell her story of this season’s autumn and winter fashions.

New York, I Love You

Such a great short stories about love. It projects the life of different couples all over NYC. It's a bit random at the beginning, but I definitely recommend it. It opens your eyes, to the beautiful city of NY, the skits of the relationship of the characters, seem so real. It's such a great movie! Definitely worth watching.

At the moment I'm in Bali, with my boyfriend having some vacation, we've already been on vacation for the last week. We went to Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Cambodia, Krabi ( Thailand), and now Bali.... YEYYY.... such a nice relaxing time at the beach but also seeing the temples and rice fields and getting close to monkeys and elephants... yep quite the trip....

I decided to wear my fancy fuschia jacket I found in a vintage shop in Paris about a year ago, with my mini Chanel bag and my mega YSL leopard heels :) Went with Rocio and we had loads of fun, mooosing it up with all of our fashion friends :)

For new years eve, we woke up, and went to meet my friend Rameez Lalla, his gf, Aanchal Gandhi at her sister's house. Close to Central park/ before we got to their house we stopped by a small restaurant called the Brooklyn Diner. I got a minestrone soup and Steffan got a bagel with salmon+red onion. For dessert Steffan the tallest Lemon Meringue EVER!!! And I had a huge piece of Apple Pie!!! WOnce we had stuffed ourselves we met up with Rameez and company and went off to east village to a Bar, and played some Connect Four hung out for a bit. At around 10.30pm, we went to see our good friend Edward in Union Square and road the tube up the Upper East Side to Edwards friends apt, and have a fun NEW YEARS!

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYBODY!!!!

I signed myself up to www.livestrong.com. So I can slowly get into a routine, to make myself feel stronger, eat better n feel better about myself. My boyfriend, Steffan, recommended it to me, to browse through other peoples routines and make up my own. Pretty cool.

Ah, its already January 9, 2010. Almost a month left, until my magazine MOOSE, launches online : www.moosewithme.es This past Thursday Jan, 7, 2010, I got together with my friends Nathan Martin (photographer), and my friend Edward Agir (stylist), to do a MOOSE tees shoot, in a studio in Fast Ashley's. Pretty cool. I have to pick out some photos tomorrow with the photographer who's going to come over. Lots of work still to do, but I think the magazine is going to work out well....wish me luck! *M

Miyazaki's Movie Night Week

Last night we watched "Spirited Away". It was an interesting fantasy movie, although quite twisted and random. Miyazaki must have the most incredible imagination or the most incredible drug addiction, to come up with those scary stories. I still love his creations, and everything ( sometimes it makes me wonder if I saw the movies in japanese, if it would make the story seem like more sense.) But overall the characters were very well written and so was the story.

My favorite Miyazaki film is still by far, Howl's Moving Castle and Totoro. I'm in love with Howl, he's so dashing and hot looking... hahaha

Tonight we see either Castle in the Sky or Princess Mononoke.

Christmas Holidays

Steffan and I went exploring around Columbus circle, went and saw the Market they put up there for Christmas, and then toured around the Time Warner Center Mall. Found these beautiful colorful stars hanging from the ceiling of the mall. After the mall we found a christmas tree in SOHO, and took it home to decorate it :) We had lots of fun, baking food, having snow fights, watching movies :) haha...MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Aaaahmazingg food.... its was french cuisine. very taste-ful, even though the bits were minimalist, but was very filling towards the end of the night. They gave us free mini desserts throughout most of the meal .Definately a new and good experience :) .

Back to New York City from Toronto (Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend-visited my bf's family for the first time), Barcelona(Escorpion Campaign) and Madrid (Madrid/Cibeles Fashion Week)... The first day back going from casting to casting was an adventure with the rainy cold weather.

Mid- October and fall has finally arrived...

Just moved into a new apartment in the financial district with my boyfriend, Steffan. At the moment the only furniture we have is a bed, a sofa, a mini tv, with a coffee table, a lamp and a bookcase. Slowly the house is transforming. We just got Fios cable TV, phone and internet.... Frickin 1,900 channels, I'm never leaving my apartment again!!!...well only for work of course. But for the rest of the time I'll be home in my "Lovenest" or up in the gym(NOT!!!).
